Benjamin Clementine

Benjamin Clementine

The poet and songwriter arrives for the first time at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone on the occasion of the Roma Summer Fest 2023.

Besides his greatest hits, the English artist brings to the stage his third studio album, And I Have Been, released last October, which confirms Benjamin's attitude as a singular artist with style, balance and poetry in equal measure.

Benjamin Sainte-Clementine was born on 7 December 1988 in Crystal Palace. Growing up in North London, he tried out the life of a street performer during his teenage years. He quickly became a cult figure on the British music scene making his debut in 2013 on the BBC program Later with Jools Holland. The lucky encounter in Cannes with Lionel Bensemoun led to the birth of the Behind label and the album At Least For Now in 2015, obtaining the Mercury and the Victoires de la Musique, the French Grammys, and debuting in the Top 10 on iTunes in Italy, Holland, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Greece and Poland. In 2017, he announced his second studio album, I Tell a Fly, anticipated by the song Phantom of Aleppoville, in which he talks about the bullying episodes he experienced firsthand. In 2020, he released the song Calm Down and played a role in Denis Villeneuve's film Dune.
