The San Lorenzo district takes its name from the nearby Basilica of San Lorenzo fuori le mura. Located off the best-known tourist circuits, it is one of the city's most vibrant areas and is marked by a somewhat bohemian flavor that comes from the presence of original craft stores and artists' studios.
