
The Symphonic and Chamber Season 2023 - 2024 at the Parco della Musica, among the main events in February, offers an unmissable appointment with the talent of Lang Lang on the piano. The program includes pieces by Schubert - Improvviso in G flat op. 90 no. 3 - Schumann - Kreisleriana op. 16 - Chopin - Mazurkas and Polonaise – and Fauré's Pavane.
After studying in his hometown Shenyang, Lang Lang was a student of the Beijing Conservatory and since 1997 he has studied under the guidance of Gary Graffman at the Curtis Institute of music in Philadelphia. Noted for having performed Chopin's 24 Studies in concert at the age of 13, he made his debut in 1999 with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and, over the years, has played under the direction of Daniel Barenboim, Simon Rattle, Yuri Temirkanov, Valery Gergiev and Leonard Slatkin; he was also the first Chinese pianist to have played with the Berliner and Wiener Philharmoniker. To this day, Lang is acclaimed as a prodigious musical talent.
