For the first time on the podium of the Roman Lyric Orchestra, in the evocative summer season venue of the prestigious theater, which this year takes place at the Circus Maximus, Maestro Myung-Whun Chung conducts the Requiem Mass, considered the symphonic masterpiece- choral by Giuseppe Verdi.

Composed on the wave of emotion for the death of Alessandro Manzoni, a poet much loved by the composer, Verdi himself performed it for the first time in 1874 to commemorate the writer one year after his death.
