
Worldwide acclaimed director, and five-time Academy Award winner: on January 20, Federico Fellini would have turned 100. The exhibition Federico Fellini - Ironico, beffardo e centenario, curated by Simone Casavecchia, pays homage to him.
On display, a selection of thirty images from the Fototeca Nazionale - Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia which celebrates the genius of cinema and helps to perceive the Fellini man, and his unmistakable gaze and mimicry.
The exhibition is also accompanied by an unpublished manuscript, eyewitness of the director's daily life and the irony that permeated it. The original paper, from a private collection, was named by Fellini himself The astronaut's diet: a fun game between friends to make artists and "astronauts" lose weight in his way.
An image of the director, of over 4 meters, is the silent host of the exhibition, which wants to be a great tribute to a giant of 20th cinematography who contributed to enhancing Italian culture and who challenges the oblivion of time, with his first centenary.
