On 1st January at 3.30pm, the Rome New Year Parade starts from Piazza del Popolo and, as usual, goes through the streets of the historic centre of the Capital. Over a thousand musicians, including young students from the most prestigious US High School bands, majorettes from Italy and Croatia, folk groups and historical Roman re-enactors, are ready to wish you a year full of satisfactions and achievements under the banner of sharing.

For two hours, performances at the rhythm of music and spectacular choreographies along Via del Corso, Via Frattina, Piazza Mignanelli, Piazza di Spagna and Via del Babuino. For the grand finale, an arena and has been set up with terraces from where you can enjoy the great live show.

Among the participating artists: from the United States the marching bands Olivet Nazarene University Tiger Marching Band (Illinois), Olivet College Marching Comets (Michigan), Hinsdale Central High School Red Devil Marching Band (Illinois), Hickory Ridge High School Blue Regiment (North Carolina ), Ramsey High School 'Big Blue' Marching Band (New Jersey) and the North Port High School Alliance Marching Band (Florida); from Italy the Associazioni Riunite di Rievocazione Storica Romana, the l’Associazione Bandistica City of Mentana with Majorettes, the Artefatti Trampoli of Rome, the l’Associazione Filarmonica Vejanese from Vejano (VT), the Flag-wavers from Castiglion Fiorentino, the Majorette Medullia from Sant'Angelo Romano, the Amaseno Harmony Show Band of Frosinone, the folk group Ma Tru'di of Amatrice and the Folk group 'La Frustica' of Faleria.

The Croatian Nedelišće Majorettes and the Varsity Spirit All-American Dancers & Cheerleaders will perform amazing choreographies on the notes of international pop hits.

The scenography of the Parade is enriched by the typical “Made in Italy” means of transport, such as Vespa, vintage Fiat 500s, vintage 900 bicycles, and ShareNGo Sound cars. The giant "Rome Parade", "Gladiator", "Senator" and "Centurion" themed balloons are carried by American students from the Menomonee Falls High School Symphonic Orchestra in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
