The multi-medial tale at the Ara Pacis Museum, in which history and technology come together to create a fully immersive and multi-sensorial experience, opens every night from 7.30 pm to 11.00 pm, (last admission at 10.00 pm), for the festive period.
From 20 to 30 December, except on 24 and 25 December, let's have a special Christmas with the Ara as it was, a unique experience: characters, gestures, gods and animals come alive in 3D to illustrate, together with colour, the origins of Rome and Augustus' family.
5 languages for a compelling narration, that in Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and with the use of particular AR visors (Samsung GearVR), mixes virtual and real elements in the visual field of the visitors: immersed in a 360 ° environment, they can admire the Ara Pacis and rediscover its original colours, "float" in the air over the altar, glide over Campo Marzio and witness the reconstruction of a Roman sacrifice, performed by real actors.
