An original exhibition opens in the towers of Porta San Sebastiano’s Walls Museum: 137 pieces of the precious Capitoline collection of antique toys, mostly belonging to the so-called golden age, which covers the years between 1860 and the 1930s.
The exhibition path is divided into two floors: at the first the visitor can watch a short 2D digital animation video presentation, which shows a miniature world where old objects come to life, against the background of the city in its daily life.
In the rooms on the second floor, on the other hand, war games are on display that include various types of aircraft, ships, weapons, tanks, forts and toy soldiers, imaginatively arranged and supplemented by other pieces such as dolls with small wardrobes, puppets, toy cars, small boats at sea , masks, a bicycle, a scooter, recreating the messiness of a children's room.
There is also a room dedicated to free play, with racing cars and cartoon characters, and a calendar of educational workshops for schools, children and families.
