Momix - Alice

An invitation to overturn our certainties, to see the world from a different perspective and, above all, to free our imagination: with their usual grace and elegance, Momix acrobat dancers will perform again at Teatro Olimpico with a show inspired by Alice in Wonderland, created in collaboration with the Roman Philharmonic Academy and presented right here in its world premiere last year.

Just like in Lewis Carroll’s masterpiece, following Alice in her underground adventures we enter a magical and extravagant world, where nothing is as it appears and in which logic goes hand in hand with madness. Even Alice’s body grows and shrinks, while dancers create amazing choreographies around her, using strings or bodies of other dancers.

Moses Pendleton, the charismatic coreographer and artistic director of the company, makes the characters who populate the universe observed by Alice with curiosity and pragmatic wisdom even more unpredictable and colorful: the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, the Queen of Hearts and many more. Music, dance, videos and colorful costumes enrich the repertoire of poetry, beauty, technique and genius with which Momix capture the public at each show.
