Saturday 10 May sees the fourth edition of ‘Roma Cura Roma - Tutta mia la Città’, the great city event dedicated to the collective care of streets, squares, parks and green areas in all the municipalities.
Since its first year, the event has seen the involvement and participation of environmental associations, the voluntary sector, the third sector, neighbourhood committees and thousands of citizens who carry out care actions in the city with the logistical support of AMA, the Dipartimento Tutela Ambientale (Environmental Protection Department), the Protezione Civile (Civil Protection) and the Polizia Locale di Roma Capitale (Local Police).
Last year, Roma Cura Roma saw the realisation of no less than 432 care actions, 323 participating associations, more than 15,000 citizens involved, with a great synergy between institutions and active citizenship - individuals, associations, neighbourhood committees and organised groups - and a wide-ranging programme of retake, cleaning and care actions for streets, squares and gardens.
To participate, from Tuesday 22 April associations and citizens will be able to register through the usual dedicated portal, www.romacura.roma.it, where they will also be able to indicate - as in previous years - the materials needed for the care actions they wish to propose. All the day's events will be published on the portal, which citizens and groups can join by registering.
