The Teatro Brancaccio hosts the appointment with the vibrant and enthralling music of the Benedict Gospel Choir, the ensemble of talented artists who, through music, convey a message of joy, hope and faith.
It is a musical experience that inspires and unites, taking the audience on a journey that celebrates the captivating and powerful gospel sound, from traditional classics, such as the songs of the legendary Mahalia Jackson and Aretha Franklin, to more creative and contemporary melodies, in a tribute to African-American life and culture.
On stage, against a backdrop of exciting choreography, the Benedict Gospel Choir is accompanied by great soloists and musicians, including conductor and soloist Jason Clayborn, singer Tasha Page Lockhart, winner of 2 Stellar Awards, Micah E Clarke, winner of the Apollo Theater Harlem Competition, and singer-songwriter Daria Raymore.
In the choir's artistic history, the vocalists - of different origins, experience and ages - have performed on some of the most prestigious international stages, participating in numerous television and radio shows and collaborating with some of the most famous gospel artists. Host of the upcoming 2024 Christmas Concert at the Vatican, the choir, sharing a deep love for music - an instrument of harmony and change - can open our hearts and make us feel part of something bigger thanks to the extraordinary spiritual energy of gospel.
