The 2021 edition of the Qs World University Ranking, by the Shanghai Ranking Consultancy,
rewards Sapienza by placing it among the 200 best universities in the world, as well as among the top 100 for the quality of teaching.
The ranking considers the 1000 best universities in the world; the university is in 171st place, climbing 32 positions compared to last year and reaching third place nationally after the Milan Polytechnic and the Universities of Bologna, Padua and Turin.
The prestigious university also ranks 70th worldwide for academic reputation.
The indicators examined by Arwu are rigorous and include international awards and academic acknowledgments received, quality of research and productivity of teachers.
