Due to the continuing state of emergency due to COVID-19, the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma was forced to cancel the shows Notre-Dame de Paris by Roland Petit from 24 September to 1 October, The Rake's Progess and the Oedipus Rex by Igor 'Stravinskij, staged from 18 to 29 October and 23 and 24 October respectively.
To replace the canceled productions, in October, the challenge of the Opera House continues with the third production conceived in an anti-Covid key: for the first time at the Costanzi, Mozart's Zaide under the direction of maestro Daniele Gatti under the direction of Graham Vick. Le Quattro stagioni ballet is also scheduled to resume in September, while La traviata, directed by Sofia Coppola and costumes by Valentino, will be confirmed in November.
The program is enriched with a series of concerts with the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, and the participation of the singers of the "Fabbrica" Young Artist Program, at a special price of 10 euros.
To ensure the safety of artists, technicians, and spectators, the entrances will be limited with an allocation of seats specifically designed to ensure compliance with the safety distance within the meeting places, in implementation of the provisions to contain the spread of COVID-19 .
The Theater starts again on Friday 28 August with Le Quattro stagioni by Antonio Vivaldi, soloist Vincenzo Bolognese, and Gloria, conducted by maestro Roberto Gabbiani.
Please note that, following the Relaunch Decree art.187 quater, the procedures for tickets purchased for suspended or canceled shows have changed. In compliance with the decree, the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma also issues vouchers.
If you have purchased at the ticket office of the Rome Opera you can obtain the voucher by delivering the tickets to the box office of the Theater by 30 September 2020. The voucher for an amount equal to the value of the tickets delivered can be used in the eighteen months following the issue and will be valid for all shows.

Tickets will be on sale from Wednesday 12 August at the ticket office and on the website of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. The ticket office will be closed from 14 to 25 August.
