Rome’s mobility plan for the Christmas holidays kicks off

from 1 December 2022 to 8 January 2023

Lots of news and incentives for mobility for the upcoming holidays with the enhancement of public transport, operation of the Trident and Historic Center Ztl, Rome travel vouchers for Taxis and Ncc, and discounts for integrated services, in the period between 8 December 2022 and 8 January 2023.

Public transport announces four free days on the entire bus, metro, and tram network on 8, 11, 18, and 24 December. Three bus lines towards the Historic Center will be free for all the festivities: line 100 (electric) and new "Free 1," from Termini Railway Station to Via del Tritone, and "Free 2," from Piazzale dei Partigiani to Via del Corso, from 9 am to 9 pm, every 10 minutes. The three lines lead towards the Historic Center starting from three car parks with discounted rates: Free 1, Termini car park; Free 2, Partigiani parking; Line 100, Villa Borghese car park.

The underground and bus lines towards the Historic Center and the shopping centers will strengthen in the 10:30 am 8:30 pm time slot, on public holidays, and all weekends of the Christmas period.

The Trident and Historic Center Ztl will be active from 6:30 am to 8 pm, from Monday to Sunday.

Taxis and NCCs (cars with driver) will apply a 50% discount to all adults (residents, non-residents, tourists) in the period 1-31 December and 100% to citizens with disabilities.

Furthermore, the sharing mobility operators will enhance their offer with promotional initiatives to encourage the use of their vehicles.
