Roma Capitale will take part in one of the main trade fairs for the meeting and event industry sector: the IMEX in Frankfurt, scheduled at the Frankfurt Messe from 31 May to 2 June 2022. The event is an important opportunity to convey the wide touristic offer of Rome and relaunch business tourism by investing in events, congresses and fairs.
The City Administration is present with its own space divided into four stands reserved for operators who manage the most important city congress venues: Eur Roma (for the Nuvola), Fondazione Musica per Roma (for the Auditorium Parco della Musica), Fiera di Roma and Convention Bureau Rome and Lazio, present with Triumph Italy Srl, a company of professional events and exhibitions. All operators were identified on the basis of the expressions of interest in response to the Public Notice published in April.
The congress sector, one of the most affected by the pandemic, represents one of the components with the highest added value in the tourism supply chain of a destination and has great potential in terms of economic impact on the territory thanks to the higher spending capacity of travelers. To strengthen the institutional presence and ensure greater visibility, the City Administration will co-sponsor the “IMEX Run” sporting event.
