Italy’s largest public car park for electric vehicles at Fiumicino airport

from 19 December 2023 to 31 March 2024

ADR e-move is the new car park for electric vehicles, the first and largest in Italy, opened in November at Fiumicino Airport. Located on the first floor of the car park at Terminal B and reserved exclusively for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, it currently offers 74 parking spaces, a number that will double next year, in addition to the 8 ultra-rapid recharging bays already present at the airport. The recharging stations are capable of recharging an electric car in 4-5 hours and a hybrid car in 2 hours, a time in line with the parking habits of multi-storey car park customers. The car park allows customers to park their car and carry out a full electric recharge, as well as the option of combining payment with the parking fee via the entrance ticket, online booking and the easyParking App that can be downloaded from the stores.

The ADR e-move car park is part of the larger project that envisages the installation of 5,400 electric recharging points by 2031 and is an important step forward in the process of making Rome’s airports increasingly innovative and sustainable, with the aim of zeroing direct emissions by 2030 and progressively reducing airport-related emission. A real green transition is underway for ADR Mobility, the ADR group company that deals with the development and management of mobility services, to expand the offer of parking spaces for electric vehicles at the airport and to position itself as a player in the e-mobility market in the roles of both Charging Point Operator and Mobile Service Provider.
