Roma Tre Orchestra, conducted for the first time by Jan Latham-Koenig, presents a concert whose main theme is the music of Vienna between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. This city was in fact the centre of classical music, whose main exponents were Haydn, Mozart and the first Beethoven, to whom we owe the concept of classicism in music, so important was the contribution they gave to its development. Without forgetting Franz Schubert who at the beginning of his career wrote symphonies clearly inspired by this model, to then flow into a romantic sensibility in later works.
The program includes: the Piano Quartet n.1 in G minor K 478 and the Piano Concert n. 24 in C minor K 491 by W. A. Mozart; the Symphony n.8 in B minor D. 759 “Unfinished” by F. Schubert.
Jan Latham-Koenig is an internationally renowned conductor: already appeared on the podium of the main orchestras in the world, such as Los Angeles Philharmonic, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma and many others, since 2011 he has been director artistic director of the Novaya Opera Theater in Moscow, the first director of English nationality to have had this role in a Russian opera company.
