A multidisciplinary project by Italian-Argentinian choreographer and performer Pablo Ezequiel Rizzo that combines dance, visual arts, words, and technology. At the heart of the work presented at the Teatro India is a reflection on the body and its objectification determined by external gazes, social norms, and cultural codes. The work questions who really has the power to decide how a body should be seen, represented, and described.
The choreography comes to life through three bodies on stage, initially limited to two-dimensional movements inspired by ancient iconography, from Egyptian hieroglyphics to cave paintings, from Greek vases to sacred icons. It is a body reduced to a symbol, frozen in rigid, imposed forms. Gradually, this body expands into space in search of a new individuality, freeing itself from stereotypes, binaries, and censorship to become living, sensitive matter.
Sex.Exe does not merely deconstruct stereotypes in the visual history of the body: it proposes a new, inclusive and fluid vision that transcends the confines of identity, roles, and conventions. It is a performative act of self-determination that celebrates the freedom to be and to show oneself, beyond all rules.
