Would you like to learn about or explore the world of video games?
Then you should know that video games were not only created to entertain you or to help you spend your time, but also to encourage learning in fields as diverse as healthcare, science, education and cultural heritage.
From this year hosted at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, Rome Videogame Lab is the first and only Italian event of applied games that, through games and interactive virtual simulations of reality, achieves those educational objectives.
Produced by Cinecittà SpA and Fondazione Musica per Roma, the eagerly-awaited Italian festival promoting video games as a cultural, artistic and social product offers numerous appointments and a rich programme of conferences with national and international guests, workshops and shows for schools and families, an exhibition of videogame memorabilia from the past, a showcase of Italian and foreign videogames and, for the first time for an Italian event, a special promotion dedicated to indie productions hosted by Steam, the world's most famous digital videogame store.
