The Botanical Garden Museum of Rome will light up again with three suggestive evenings in the moonlight for the fourth year.
From 16 to 18 June, the splendid garden on the slopes of the Gianicolo will host Roma Hortus Vini 2023, the festival of native vines of Vigneto Italia, a journey to discover the best Italian wines produced in purity throughout Italy.
Over 100 producers present their flagship labels in free tasting and best monovarietal wines produced in purity.
The setting for these three evenings and the rich program of guided tastings, meetings with producers, theatrical plays, and music is the Vigneto Italia, an authentic open-air library of the Italian wine heritage. Planted in 2018 by Luca Maroni, the vineyard welcomes 155 cultivars of native vines from all regions cultivated, with biodynamic and low ecological impact agronomy techniques, by the scientific operators of the Botanical Garden in partnership with Vivai Coperativi Rauscedo.
At various times during the event, the scheduled artistic performances are ready to entertain the public but also to confirm the indissoluble bond that unites music and theater to the food and wine tradition and culture of Italy: from the “garbatamente divertenti” theatrical pills of Michela La Ginestra at the Fontana degli Undici Zampilli to the performances of "Francigena in Jazz & Swing" at the Fontana dei Tritoni, up to the singing surprises of "Gli Altavoce" at the Vigneto Italia.
Don't miss the "dégustations sur l'herbe" conducted by Luca Maroni and the corners dedicated to good food.
