Pink Floyd Legend await you at the Teatro Olimpico to celebrate and relive the immortal compositions of one of the most influential bands in music history.
Acknowledged by critics and audiences as the best interpreters of the British quartet's masterpieces, Legend will present five milestones from the historic British band's repertoire in five consecutive live evenings.
On 23 January, the opening concert will feature Pink Floyd's greatest hits in addition to The Dark Side of the Moon; on 24 January, the band will perform Pulse, the British band's third live album, which also contains the entire Dark Side; on 25 January, the In the Flesh Tour '77 will include the entire performance of the Animals album in addition to tracks from Wish You Were Here; the evening of 26 January is dedicated to The Final Cut, the album never before performed live by Pink Floyd, which is particularly important for the Legends both because of the presence on stage of Special Guest Harry Waters, Roger's son and grandson of Eric Fletcher Waters, to whom the album is dedicated, and because the performance takes place on the occasion of the 80th anniversary celebrations of the Anzio Landing where Eric Fletcher lost his life.
In addition to Harry Waters on keyboards, Legends are accompanied by the Legend Orchestra – with Ottonidautore and the Sharareh Quartet – conducted by Giovanni Cernicchiaro on stage also on 27 January together with the Legend Choir – Coro Arkè, Coro Sant'Agnese Fuori le Mura and Coro Monteverdi – for the performance of Atom Heart Mother, the concert-event always sold out all over Italy.
The Pink Floyd Legend Week is enriched by a thematic display curated by The Lunatics collective, Pink Floyd biographers and collectors, with an exhibition of record rarities, posters, playbills, photos and original memorabilia, some of which have never been shown before.
The Pink Floyd Legend are Fabio Castaldi (vocals and bass), Alessandro Errichetti (vocals and guitars), Simone Temporali (vocals and keyboards), Paolo Angioi (guitars, bass and backing vocals) and Emanuele Esposito (drums). The line-up is completed by Giorgia Zaccagni, Nicoletta Nardi and Claudia Marss on backing vocals, Maurizio Leoni on lead saxophone and Camillo Alberini, second drummer on Pulse.
