One of the greatest exponents of contemporary French dance, Noé Soulier has based his entire artistic career on a careful and refined fusion between choreographic practice and theoretical reflection.
Its rich and refined repertoire is constantly nourished by movements and gestures of daily life, such as grasping, throwing, capturing, rubbing and how these relate to space.
His performance in Passages, which moves in unusual spaces not usually intended for dance, explores the relationship between the body's dynamism and the places of the actions.
Passages is a site-specific event that fills the elegant spaces of the Academy of France - Villa Medici. It reworks its charm and history to trigger new resonances with its architecture and interweave relationships with real and imaginary objects inviting the viewer to a brand-new perceptive and emotional exploration.
