The Casa del Cinema, in the heart of Villa Borghese, is hosting the fifth edition of MotoTematica, the international film festival dedicated to the world of motorbikes, with fictional works and documentaries - shorts and features - by directors and videomakers from all over the world and presentations of themed books.
On Saturday, 7 October, at 10 am, MotoTematica starts with Motorcycle Stories “Sardegna storie di un'isola” by Fabrizio Nacciareti, Alessandro Toscano (Italy), followed by Lone Wolf by Giovanni Montagnana (Italy) and The ICECAKE by Manoj Mauryaa (India). In the afternoon, starting at 2 pm, The Antique Motorcycle by Stephen Marino (USA), Scintille by Alessio Zoni, Elena Monti, Giulia Trabucchi (Italy), Bad Dog by Erin Malfi (USA), Cafe Racer by Harrison Houde (Canada), On Any Other Sunday by Shaun Fenton (Great Britain), Onward by Gabriel Davini (Brazil) and Boogeyman and Bucephalus in Iraqi Kurdistan by Francesco Loreti (Italy).
Sunday 8 October, also starting at 10 am, !PRONTO! (ITA) by Veen Viscal (USA), Only Fire by Neel Kumar (UAE), Aymen - Don't think, just do it! by Aarif Laljee, Michael Morris (Great Britain), and Day 9th of 13 days ride in Rajasthan and Gujarat, India in 2023 by Aigars Liepins (Latvia).
This edition of MotoTematica also offers a great novelty: the presentation of books on two-wheel engines with Intrepide. Storie di donne e motori by Giulia Colasante (Sportmemory Edizioni) and Vespa - Storia di un mito by Marcello Albanesi (Diarkos) on Saturday 7 at 5.40 pm and POLIZIA E MOTORI. La lunga strada insieme by Emanuele Mùrino (Polizia di Stato - Ufficio Relazioni Esterne e Cerimoniale, Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato, limited edition). Meetings are moderated by journalist Marco Panella.
The festival ends around 1 pm with the award ceremony of the feature-length documentary, short documentary, and fiction short film categories winners.
The jury: Claudio Antonaci, Sergio Battista, and Roberto Brodolini. The artistic director of MotoTematica is Benedetta Zaccherini.
