Mirabilia Urbis. Art stories in Rome

Mirabilia Urbis. Racconti d’arte a Roma-Foto: locandina ufficiale dell'evento

Palazzo delle Esposizioni hosts, in the Auditorium room, Mirabilia Urbis. Art stories in Rome, a series of meetings with free entry - curated by Ivana Della Portella and Irene Berlingò, promoted by the Department of Culture of Rome Capital and by the Azienda Speciale Palaexpo - which offers a fascinating narration of the history and art of Rome, through a series of lectio magistralis aimed at the general public.

The title Mirabilia Urbis recalls the first guide compiled in the late Middle Ages, intended for pilgrims and travelers who went to the eternal city; the idea is to talk about Rome with conferences aimed at the general public and therefore accessible to everyone. During the meetings, eminent scholars explore various themes such as the myth of Aeneas, the mystery of the Etruscans and the underground wonders to be discovered. The works of great masters such as Titian and Caravaggio are compared with those of contemporary artists such as Novelli and Twombly, offering a more complete and multiple vision of the city.

The event is free while places last and reservations can be made on the official website.
