The Philharmonic Gardens, the summer festival of the Roman Philharmonic Academy, this year has the title Harmoniæ and presents over twenty events including music, stories and meetings, in the tranquility of the greenery surrounding the Casina Vagnuzzi, headquarters of the Philharmonic in via Flaminia, near Piazza del Popolo, on the slopes of Villa Borghese.
The cultural event, which takes place for two weeks between June and July, transforms the Gardens of the Philharmonic Academy into a space dedicated to the various and multiple contemporary artistic expressions and the thousand-year-old traditions of the foreign countries involved, with particular attention to the musical sphere. Rhythms and melodies from every corner of the world therefore resonate in the Gardens - from Japan to the United States, from Azerbaijan to Argentina to Mexico and Iran - thanks to the important collaboration with cultural institutes, embassies and international associations. The program also includes concerts with music from different eras, from the Baroque to the twentieth century, up to the contemporary and modern repertoire, as well as film music, jazz, pop and avant-garde.
Among the different international proposals, there is also space for new generations of Italian performers and Italian and foreign composers. An experience therefore that allows a journey into the different cultures scattered around the world, engaging and fascinating.
