On 4 March 2025, at 16.00, at the Basilica di San Vitale al Quirinale, Via Nazionale 194/b, the personal exhibition of the artist Luigi Salvatori Giubileo MMXXV, Il cammino della speranza sui volti dell'anima will be inaugurated, curated by Roberto Luciani, Director and Lecturer of the Istituto del Restauro Roma, Professor at the e-Campus University, writer, historian and art critic, architect. The inauguration will be attended by the Honourable Federico Mollicone, President of the Culture Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, and President ICAS Intergroup Parliamentary Culture Art and Sport. In the design of this solo exhibition, Luigi Salvatori intends, through his paintings, to give hope in God and divine providence to all the people who suffer in this world. The artist thought of immigrants who are forced to leave their country in search of a more dignified life, of children who are denied the basic rights of life such as play, study and the love of a family, of peoples who are denied peace and live in the terror and pain caused by war, of all people who are denied the dignity of life, of women, of the poor and starving in the world, of injustice and inequity. In this Jubilee year, in tune with Pope Francis on the need to instil hope in man at a time when unbelief and mistrust and a negative and painful vision of the world destined for unhappiness reign in the world, it is necessary to pay attention to the much good that is present in the world so as not to fall into the temptation of considering ourselves overwhelmed by evil and violence and to give signs of hope, that hope that is founded on faith and nourished by charity. This exhibition displays a cycle of his works created between 2019 and early 2025, in which the artist narrates his path to follow through the search in the faces of man for his interiority, respecting the freedom, dignity and equality of others. From the face of man transpires his love, as an act of giving, or his suffering as an act of violation of his rights.
