Falstaff and the Merry Wives of Windsor, staged at the Vittoria Theater directed by Carlo Emilio Lerici, is one of William Shakespeare's most famous comedies - written between 1599 and 1601 - in which the author inserts the best of his repertoire: the thwarted love between young people, the misunderstandings, the mistaken identity, the disguises and the jokes. The comedy also has women as its true protagonists, whom the author presents as free to think and act like those of today.
Falstaff, played by Edoardo Siravo, seems to bring together some of the most beautiful pages of the character, making him acquire, alongside his brilliant side, a depth that makes him our contemporary. A character who reflects on a world, still dramatically current, ruled by success, false news and slander.
With Edoardo Siravo and with (in alphabetical order): Francesca Bianco, Marco Bonetti, Fabrizio Bordignon, Gabriella Casali, Giuseppe Cattani, Beatrice Coppolino, Alessandro Laprovitera, Ruben Rigillo, Germano Rubbi, Susy Sergiacomo, Roberto Tesconi and Tonino Tosto.
