So it is (if you like) by Luigi Pirandello is staged at the Teatro Quirino directed by Geppy Gleijeses. Written in 1917, the comedy has as its main theme the attempt to shed light, in a provincial city, on the identity of the new secretary's wife of the Prefecture: in fact, it is not clear whether she is Mrs. Frola's daughter, as she asserts with certainty, or the second wife of the secretary of the Prefecture, since Signora Frola's daughter died in the rubble of an earthquake, as he claims.

The comedy therefore takes up a theme very dear to the great Sicilian writer and playwright: the unknowability of reality, of which everyone can give their own interpretation which may not coincide with that of the others. In fact, according to Pirandello's poetics, it is impossible to recognize absolute truth because it doesn't actually exist.
