A virtuoso and passionate musician, the famous Russian pianist returns to the stage of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone for a highly anticipated concert as part of the Chamber Season of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
On the program is Schubert's splendid Sonata in A minor D 845, among the few works of the Viennese author published when he was still alive, composed in 1825 and dedicated to Archduke Rudolph of Austria, the Davidsbündlertänze, Op. 6 by Robert Schumann and Liszt's evocative Hungarian Rhapsody No. 12.
Born in 1972, Volodos is considered a genius for the variety of colours of his touching and communicative interpretations, combined with his prodigious technique and profound musicality.
A narrator and piano poet, he made his debut in New York in 1996 and, during his exceptional career, he has worked with the major orchestras in the world, such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, the London Philharmonia Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, the Boston and Chicago Symphony orchestras.
