
On 8 March, for the International Women’s Day, the Sistema Biblioteche di Roma Capitale - Libraries of Roma Capitale proposes an interesting calendar of meetings to celebrate the feminine universe and discuss fundamental issues related to women's rights, emphasizing the importance of an ongoing and collective commitment to build a society that repudiates gender discrimination, and is more inclusive and equitable.
The libraries involved are the Joyce Lussu Library (at 11 a.m.), the Giordano Bruno Library (at 11 a.m., storytelling accompanied by viola and piano), the Villino Corsini Library (at 3 p.m., travelling presentation of the book “La Repubblica Romana delle donne: eroine, audaci e irriverenti” - The Roman Republic of Women: heroines, daring and irreverent at the Gianicolo promenade, booking required at villinocorsini@bibliotechediroma.it), the Rugantino Library (at 5 p.m. at the University of Rome Tor Vergata).
