2023 Race for the Cure

As a symbol of Komen Italia, RACE FOR THE CURE is the most significant event in the fight against breast cancer in our country and the world.

It takes place under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic at the Circus Maximus in Rome and five other Italian cities: Bari, Bologna, Brescia, Matera, and Naples. special

The protagonists of the RACE FOR THE CURE are the WOMEN IN PINK, women who are facing or have faced breast cancer, who, with their special pink shirts, raise public awareness of the importance of prevention and send a strong message of encouragement to 56,000 women in Italy who are confronted with the disease every year.

RACE FOR THE CURE proposes four days of free events and initiatives for health, sport, and solidarity that culminate on Sunday with the traditional and exciting 5 km run and 2 km walk in the city centre.

Thanks to the funds raised with the RACE FOR THE CURE, Komen Italia will carry out activities in support of women who are facing breast cancer, study awards for young researchers, collaborations with other associations in Italy, and free prevention days aimed at women in social fragility thanks to the Carovana della Prevenzione.

On the dates of each Race, Komen Italia will organize a Health Village to offer free prevention exams and workshops to promote healthy lifestyles with many sports and wellness activities.
