20 artistic posters made by students of the Schools and Academies of Art in Rome, selected through a public call, that can be viewed both digitally on the sites of Roma Capitale and Fondazione Musica per Roma and in the outdoor spaces of the Auditorium Parco della Musica.
Each poster serves as an example of women’s strength, courage and determination, to reflect together on how we can escape stereotypes and reverse the collective imagination around gender violence also through creativity and freedom of expression. Accompanying each image is the slogan “Scelgo la libetà - I choose freedom”, three words that every woman can pronounce, even if she is in a situation of violence, which the participants interpreted according to their own sensitivity, declining them in different ways and times.
In addition to raising public awareness on the issue of gender-based violence, the project aims to promote the Anti-violence Centers of Roma Capitale, connected to the national anti-violence and stalking number 1522, which offer listening and specialist advice to women victims of maltreatment, with individual paths aimed at regaining full autonomy of life.
