Parrocchia di San Saturnino

It was erected by the faculties granted by Pope Pius XI in the audience of 22 June 1932 to Cardinal Vicar Francesco Marchetti Selvaggiani, on 1 January 1935 with a vicarial decree Assiduo vigilantique cura and entrusted to the diocesan clergy of Rome; it was consecrated on 6 January of the same year.

Its territory was taken from that of the parishes of St Agnes outside the walls, St Teresa of Avila in Corso d'Italia and St Joseph in Via Nomentana. Recognition for civil effects of the vicariate provision was decreed on 16 July 1935 by the King of Italy Vittorio Emanuele III; the architectural design is by Clemente Busiri Vici.

Since 29 November 1987, the parish church has housed the relics of the titular saint.
