This cultural institute, which is a significant centre of study and cultural production on the national scene, is located on the third floor of Villa Altieri, in accordance with the agreement signed with the Province of Rome on 30/07/2010.
The Centre has a large and highly specialised Dante History Library, consisting of the National Editions of Dante's Commentaries, the works of Niccolò Machiavelli and Pietro Aretino and other library collections. It has created, among other things, a General Bibliography of Italian Language and Literature (BiGLI), now in database form, with 500,000 archived records.
