Istituto Italiano di Studi Germanici

Founded in 1932 to promote in Italy studies and researches in the field of Germanic cultures and literatures, its first president was Giovanni Gentile. It publishes the four-monthly review "Studi germanici" (German studies), founded in 1935, and organizes congresses, round-table conferences, meetings, exhibitions. It is housed in Villa Sciarra.
