Founded in 1952 by Alcide De Gasperi who was its first director, the institute carries out educational and research activities to promote problems regarding politics, economics, law and social issues related to European cooperation and integration. It promotes the post-graduate school of European Studies to obtain the post-graduate diploma in European studies, the specializing Master in European studies and the post-graduate diploma. It also offers courses of English language on law terminology and economic politics of EU. It organizes seminars and congresses with the participation of Italian and foreign scholars and experts.
