This fountain is part of the group of ten small fountains commissioned by the Municipality for the districts to the sculptor Pietro Lombardi, which were all inaugurated in 1927. Its elements allude to the commerce of wine that was particularly flourishing at that time, as it is today, in the numerous inns in this corner of Trastevere: a barrel, the half vat for must, and two one litre measurement vessels.
