The fountain leans against the wall below the church of San Pietro in Montorio, to the restoration of which refers the memorial tablet with coat of arms of Urban the Eighth Barberini (1623-1644) that surmounts the fountain with the lion’s head. The year 1936 is engraved on the marble pond to commemorate a restoration made by the Municipality. The marble pond was probably a trough of the time of Innocent the Eleventh Odescalchi (1676-1689).
