The small church was founded in 820 under the title of Sant'Andrea De Scaphis. It was a parish until 1574, when it was entrusted to the Università dei Salumieri. In 1666 it was handed over to the Vascellari family, who turned it into an oratory. In 1942, the confraternity of the Vascellari disbanded and the oratory was put to civil use.
