The church, formerly dedicated to S. Maria in Publico assumed its new name in Publicolis in honour of the Santacroce family who had it rebuilt by Giovanni Antonio De Rossi in 1643. The façade has two orders and a portal surmounted by a window. A curvilinear tympanum crowns it. The interior has a single nave with two side chapels. On the high altar is a 17th-century altarpiece depicting the Nativity of the Virgin by Raffaele Vanni (1587-1659). On the walls and floor are tombstones of the Santacroce family.
