The complex is located on the via di Torrevecchia in the Primavalle district, overlooking a road raised above the ground that slopes down towards Fosso Mimmoli. This difference in height suggested the solution of access to the liturgical hall in the lowered area, to act as a moment of detachment from the space and tumult of the street. A strong structural layout of a geometric and rationalist nature fits into the circular volume of the church and compositionally determines the formation of the subsidiary spaces such as the sacristy, the parish hall, the large sacristy, and the weekday chapel. The church hall, organised within a cylindrical volume but with the position of the pews following an orthogonal arrangement, is strongly marked by the stalactite of a cross with two interlocking blades that descends to bring the light of the dome up to the altar. The external space lowered with respect to the street functions as a forecourt connecting the parish works, while the roof of the hall organised as a roof garden, facing the street, allows small parish parties to be organised in privacy.
The building is the main building of a larger complex that includes the civic-religious centre in Quartaccio designed in 2002 by Nemesi Studio.
