The history of Roma Pride begins in 1994, the year of the first national "Gay Pride."
The demonstration, attended not only by political exponents of the Capital but by Italian and European political realities, gathered the participation of over ten thousand people obtaining a resounding success.
Since then, Roma Pride has brought a courageous, multi-ethnic, and colourful march to the streets of Rome every year.
A parade of kaleidoscopic floats, DJs, and dancers travel from Piazza della Repubblica to Piazza Venezia and the Roman Forum.
Paola & Chiara, godmothers of Roma Pride 2023, will be at the parade with their song Furore, the anthem of this year's event.
The artists will also perform live on the stage of Rock Me Pride, the official party of Roma Pride, which this year, for the first time, will take place as part of Rock in Roma, the international rock music festival at the Ippodromo delle Capannelle.
