The brainchild of Alessandro Longobardi and with the artistic direction of Alessia Gatta, Futuro Festival is a melting pot of cultures, a place of contamination between different languages, between past and present with an eye to the future. The event, now in its third edition, places the spectator at the center, with the desire to celebrate dance, one of the oldest arts that humans use to experience emotions and to tell their stories.
Futuro Festival is actually dedicated to those who live for dance, to enthusiasts, the curious and the new generations of spectators and artists. Ten days of promotion of dance as an interdisciplinary and experimental artistic trend, with the staging of performances that reflect the variety of stimuli offered by big names on the international scene but also by young creative proposals, among scenic actions, urban and circus contaminations, journeys in a memory of traditions and folklore that nourish diversified poetics but in strong mutual connection.
The program includes no less than eleven shows plus four performances (with seven national premieres) but also extra activities taking place between Teatro Brancaccio and Brancaccino Open Air: exhibitions, a video dance review, participatory artworks, talks and debates, theoretical and practical workshops, a battle and a closing party with live music and special guests.
