Teatro dell'Opera di Roma ph. Yasuko Kageyama

The Israeli Omer Meir Wellber, Music Director of the Volksoper in Vienna and the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, makes his debut on the podium of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, proposing the first act of Die Walküre (The Valkyrie) in concert form.

Richard Wagner’s presence thus enlightens the 2022/2023 programme, made particularly special by the cast, with tenor Stanislas de Barbeyrac and soprano Angela Meade in the roles of the twin lovers Siegmund and Sieglinde, flanked by bass Brindley Sherratt as Hunding.
