The Teatro Ghione hosts William Shakespeare's famous tragedy, the love story par excellence, one of the most represented literary masterpieces ever.
Known as a tragedy of fate, Romeo and Juliet tells of the purity of feeling that binds the two very young protagonists, an unhappy love opposed by their mutual families.
The staging, revisited in a modern key, nonetheless respects the original nature of the story: the story of Verona, the hatred between Capulets and Montecchi and, above all, the sacred and eternal love between Romeo and Juliet and which gives strength to the entire show, from the two lovers' emotional, human and psychological evolutions up to the tragic ending.
On stage, directed by Valentina Cognatti, eight actors between the ages of seventeen and twenty move against the background of vibrant choreographies and a constantly changing setting, accompanied by the evocative music of the Ashram band, performed live, which becomes an integral part of the show in perfect dialogue with the tragedy and its characters.
