For the XXVIII edition of the The Soloists of the Theatre festival, a season full of performances, words and music is scheduled. The event, directed by Carmen Pignataro, represents one of the most important ones in the cultural and artistic panorama of the Roman Summer.
The event, which takes place in the botanical open space of the wonderful Gardens of the Roman Philharmonic, a stone's throw from Piazza del Popolo, this year presents a heterogeneous program of over 40 shows, with innovative theatrical itineraries, national premieres, famous performers, young people promises, experiments and contaminations between genres - theatre, music, dance and art - civil theater, classics and contemporary dramaturgy, to which is added an evening in memory of the great actress Piera degli Esposti one year after her death.
As a tradition, a week is dedicated to the LGBTQ theatre festival in collaboration with the Mario Mieli association; while the combination of Theater / Dance is represented by "Dance at the Gardens", four events celebrating the expressive power that only the union and contamination of the arts can have. The historic collaboration with Artisti 7607 also continues, including a tribute to Franca Valeri.
The Festival, promoted by Roma Culture, is the winner of the Roman Summer 2020-2021-2022 public notice curated by the Cultural Activities Department and is organized in collaboration with SIAE.
