Rome stays on late for the Notte dei Musei, the long-awaited cultural event taking place simultaneously throughout Europe since 2005, now in its twelfth edition in the Capital,
From 8 pm to 2 am (the last admission is at 1 am), the spaces of the Museum System of Rome are extraordinarily open to allow you to admire the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions and to attend a rich program of concerts and live music, theater, and dance performances.
Among the Civic Museums participating in the initiative are the Capitoline Museums, the Centrale Montemartini, the Trajan's Markets - Museum of the Imperial Fora, the Ara Pacis Museum, the Museum of Roma, the Napoleonic Museum, the Museum of Roma in Trastevere, the Pietro Canonica Museum at Villa Borghese, the Museums of Villa Torlonia (Casina delle Civette, Casino Nobile, Serra Moresca), the Museum of the Walls, the Carlo Bilotti Museum - Orangery of Villa Borghese, the Giovanni Barracco Museum of ancient Sculpture, the Civic Museum of Zoology, the Musem of the Roman Republic and Garibaldi Remembrance, the Gallery of Modern Art, the Museum of di Casal de' Pazzi.
The ticket has a symbolic cost of 1 € - unless otherwise indicated.
Some State museums are exceptionally open, as well as universities, institutions, such as the Senato della Repubblica, the Camera dei Deputati, and the Palazzo della Marina, and other exhibition and cultural spaces with proposals for shows, exhibitions, events, and special initiatives, for a great festival dedicated to art and culture.
