The selection of artists and projects is now underway, but mark this date on the calendar: on 14 December, Musei in Musica returns to Rome. Now in its eleventh edition, the initiative is one of the flagships of the city’s entertainment and cultural program.
Promoted by Roma Capitale and organized by Zètema Progetto Cultura, Musei in Musica has won over the years an ever-growing public and registered astonishing success. True to its name, this traditional event does not need too many presentations: as usual, town museums’ door will remain extraordinarily open until late evening, from 8.00 pm to 2.00 am, and stage live concerts and dance performances.
Also the formula does not undergo variations compared to past editions: by purchasing a ticket at the symbolic price of one euro (free for Mic Card holders), everyone can enter museums, admire imperial busts, Napoleonic heirlooms or eighteenth-century paintings, visit temporary exhibitions and, at the same time, enjoy good music and a series of other art forms. In a nutshell, an opportunity to fill up with positive energy before the inevitable Christmas frenzy.
Just start the countdown and take note of the museums involved: Musei Capitolini, Centrale Montemartini, Mercati di Traiano - Museo dei Fori Imperiali, Museo dell’Ara Pacis, Museo di Roma, Museo Napoleonico, Museo di Roma in Trastevere, Museo Pietro Canonica, Musei di Villa Torlonia (Casina delle Civette, Casino Nobile), Museo delle Mura, Museo Carlo Bilotti, Museo Giovanni Barracco, Museo Civico di Zoologia, Museo della Repubblica Romana e della Memoria Garibaldina, Galleria d’Arte Moderna, Museo di Casal de’ Pazzi.
