Ancient Rome saw, along with works aimed at improving services (stores, markets, etc.), prestige works or those representing public character (churches and porches) and those of a private nature (houses with marble columns). In addition, to cope with the pressure of an increasing population, it saw the creation of mass housing, with apartments on several floors (insulae).
Instead of traditional aristocratic tombs, an individual type of tomb was also created, a rectangular block with the possibility of an upper crowning.
This route leads us to discover some of the monuments of ancient Rome. Some are visible only from the outside, while others are open only by appointment and for groups.
