An extraordinary fourth edition of ROMA CAPODARTE 2025 Città nel Mondo, the great celebration of Roma Capitale that welcomed the arrival of the new year with about 67,000 people who took part in over 100 free events spread throughout the territory.
The event, with which Roma Capitale kicked off the Jubilee year, highlighted a city that is plural, intercultural and open to all generations: Rome welcomed 2025 with a rich programme of cultural initiatives featuring music, theatre, dance, cinema, art, literature, and activities for children and families, in 80 city spaces - including Civic Museums and exhibition venues, libraries, theatres, cinemas, squares, streets, and other cultural places exceptionally open to the public - of all the 15 municipalities that enhanced their heritage and specificities.
Music was the main protagonist with numerous concerts hosted in theatres, concert halls and open-air areas, with special guests such as Tosca, performing at the Belvedere of the Janiculum Hill, and, outside the city centre, the Roman musician and singer-songwriter Giancane, and Rancore, one of the most popular Italian rap artists.
During the event, it was also possible to visit for free the museums and exhibitions of the Sistema Musei di Roma Capitale, which recorded more than 20,000 visitors, and other exhibition spaces, as well as archaeological areas and monumental sites, exceptionally open to the public, and to participate in the guided tours of the Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali with curators of the exhibitions and prestigious personalities from the academic, art and cultural world.
